In September 2025, I cycled from the Netherlands to Berlin. It was a tough week, but the freedom of being on the bike made it all worth it.

- Bike: Canyon Endurace 7 Raw
- Tires: Schwalbe Pro R 35mm
- Navigation: Garmin Edge 540
- Gear: Ortlieb & Restrap bags, Decathlon Simond MT 900 1-person tent
The Route
I followed the "Fietsen naar Berlijn" route (link). It's a beautiful route that avoids busy roads.

Day 1: Start

Day 2: Hills and Woods
90.2 km | 4h 50m Tough day! Lots of climbing and riding through the woods. The gravel parts were tricky but fun. View on Strava

Day 3: Long Day
119.3 km | 5h 17m Long day in the saddle. We got lost a bit, but still a good ride. View on Strava

Day 4: The Big One
154.2 km | 6h 50m Over 150km. We had sun, rain, wind, and even a flat tire. But we saw some cool stuff along the way. View on Strava
Day 5: Tailwind
122.0 km | 5h 35m Nice day with the wind in our back. Just cruising from breakfast to dinner. View on Strava
Day 6: Almost There
119.5 km | 5h 15m Solid day of riding. Only 120km left to Berlin! View on Strava

Day 7: Reaching Berlin
96.7 km | 4h 29m We reached the area around Berlin. Rode with another bikepacker today, weather was perfect. View on Strava

Conclusion
Bikepacking to Berlin was awesome. The simple routine of riding, eating, and sleeping is addictive. Can't wait for the next one.
